It was a bit nippy with a cold wind as we started this morning, but there were a lot of riders at Colt Creek taking advantage of the newly mowed trails. Several “Whips” were out with their ponies and carts as well, causing some concern to the horses who had never seen one of those contraptions before! The campground was also in use with several equestrian campers–it’s wonderful to see that our water project is well used and appreciated. Badly pictured here is (in the distance) Barbara and Mike Charron, with Karen Turbeville and Barbara Lassiter in the foreground.

The Florida Sport Horse Club is dedicated to trail riding and the preservation of the many riding areas in central Florida. We ride every weekend and have many barbecues and campouts throughout year. We're family oriented and open to all breeds of horses. We are based primarily in Polk County, but have members from all over the state. We have been incorporated as a non-profit organization since 1988. View all posts by floridasporthorseclub
