We have another volunteer opportunity for SWFWMD this Wednesday, March 8th, at 9am! Kim DeVary is asking horse people for help taking down a small screened building at the Hampton Tract campground. It has been continually vandalized, and so must be replaced with something less vulnerable to attack. If you can help, please call Karen Turbeville at 863-688-5111.
The following is an email from Kim:
“Dear Volunteers,
We are again reaching out to our volunteers. This time we are looking to do something a little different, I need to take down/remove a small screen room structure. The location will be the Hampton campground near Lakeland. We will be taking the small screen room down and piling the debris in a pile for my maintenance people to collect. This is in preparation to install a new pavilion.
Unfortunately, I am on crunch time. I want to apologize for the late notice but I just received the notification today. I will need the help on Wednesday, March 8, 2016, 9am. The location again will be the Hampton campground at 14980 Rockridge Road, Lakeland, FL 33809.”
